A Málaga.is game
Chiquito contra los virus
Shout ¡jarl! upwards in front of the G at Google Málaga: every virus the shout touches splits in two smaller ones until they burst.
How to play
- Walk left and right and shout upwards: the shout climbs as a column and splits whatever virus it touches.
- The smallest ones burst. If a virus touches you, you lose a life and the level starts again.
- Three levels (a virus, worms and ransomware), then another lap, faster, until your lives run out.
Game of 16 October: the viruses come the same way for everyone.
¡Jarl! against the viruses
Chiquito de la Calzada, born Gregorio Sánchez, came into the world in Málaga on 28 May 1932, in the Calzada de la Trinidad that gave him his name. He became famous at 62 on the television show Genio y figura (Antena 3, 1994): jokes that never ended, words he made up (“fistro”, “pecador de la pradera”), an “r” on the end of everything, a hand on the small of his back and a knee raised as in flamenco. He died on 11 November 2017.
Here he stands in front of the Google Safety Engineering Center on the Paseo de la Farola, the cybersecurity centre Google opened in the old Gobierno Militar in November 2023, with its green gate shaped like a G. The balls bouncing at him are viruses, worms and ransomware, and he has one weapon against them: his ¡jarl!
How to play
Walk left and right and shout upwards: the shout climbs as a column of letters, ¡JARRRL!, and any virus it touches splits in two smaller ones until the smallest burst. If one touches you, you lose a life and the level starts again. Three levels, then another lap, faster. What falls out of them helps: Huelin’s traffic light freezes them, “¡Condemor!” gives you two shouts, “¡Al ataquerl!” a volley, and “¡Fistro diodenal!” breaks everything at once. On a keyboard, the arrow keys and the space bar; on a phone held sideways, the left thumb walks and the right one shouts.
The daily ranking
Each day the viruses come the same way for everyone, so the ranking is fair. Pick a nickname to appear on the board (the same one as in the other Málaga.is games); you need no account. Every game is replayed on our server, so only real points count.
