Málaga Hosts 1,800 Dental Experts for SEPES AI Congress

Málaga continues to solidify its reputation as one of Southern Europe’s premier meeting points for innovation, business tourism, and technological advance—a growth that is also driving interest in Malaga’s vibrant real estate market and new residential developments. The Trade Fair and Congress Center of Málaga (FYCMA) is hosting the annual SEPES 2026 Congress, bringing together over 1,800 dental specialists and 60 leading commercial firms to explore the transformative role of Artificial Intelligence in modern oral healthcare.

Artificial Intelligence Takes Center Stage in Dentistry

The central theme of this year’s gathering revolves around the practical integration of Artificial Intelligence into clinical practice. From predictive diagnostics and automated treatment planning to precision-guided surgery and enhanced patient communication, AI is shifting from a futuristic concept into an essential daily tool for dental practitioners.

According to coverage by Vida Económica, the conference features technical keynotes, practical workshops, and clinical demonstrations. Attendees are gaining direct insights into how machine learning algorithms improve diagnostic accuracy and streamline clinic workflows, offering patients faster and more accurate treatments.

Key Themes at SEPES 2026:

• AI Diagnostics: Leveraging computer vision for early detection of oral pathologies.
• Digital Prosthetics: Enhancing CAD/CAM design speed and custom-fit precision.
• Patient Experience: Using intelligent software for clearer treatment visualization.
• Industry Exhibition: Over 60 specialized companies showcasing state-of-the-art dental technology, hardware, and clinical software.

Málaga’s Growing Distinction as a MICE Hub

Hosting a medical congress of this scale highlights Málaga’s strong infrastructure for business meetings, incentives, conferences, and exhibitions (MICE). FYCMA’s modern facilities, paired with Málaga-Costa del Sol Airport’s international connectivity, make the city an efficient destination for high-profile professional gatherings.

Beyond the academic halls, events like SEPES deliver a welcome boost across the local economy, supporting local hotels, gastronomy, and transportation services throughout the city.

As technology continues to reshape healthcare, seeing Málaga serve as the backdrop for such meaningful professional progress is genuinely encouraging. We hope all visiting specialists enjoy a productive congress and take a little time to experience the warmth and charm of our city.
